Changing Wireless Batteries
How to change the wireless battery in your devices.
Changing the battery for your wireless devices is a relatively easy process.
There are three types of wireless devices normally used with some Dial One Security Systems.
- Wireless Door Sensors
- Wireless Window Sensors
- Wireless Motion Sensors
Make sure to call the central station and put your system on test. It is normal for the system to get trouble signals when the wireless devices have their covers removed and their batteries replaced.
Also make sure all occupants of the location understand that the touchpads will be sounding.
Make sure you understand how to reset and silence trouble conditions from your touchpad.
You will then open the cover of the device by pushing the small tab on the edge of the device. The top should then come loose and you will see inside of the device.
You will see one to three lithium batteries that will need replacement (depending on the type of device). Simply remove the old batteries and replace with three new lithium batteries making sure to keep the polarity of the batteries correct (the + and -). Replace the cover of the device by lining up the notches and snapping close.
